R&J Candles was born from our love for animals and our desire to create a cosy, aromatic, and conscious home.
It all started with a simple need: we wanted candles that were safe for our dogs and birds — but everything we found was expensive, short-lasting, and lacked real scent. That’s when we decided to learn how to make our own candles, aiming to protect our pets, improve the atmosphere at home, and care for the planet at the same time.

We’re a family-run business led by my mom, Rhonda Ballinger, and me, Juliana Tolosa. Every member of our household contributes their time, creativity, and care to make sure each candle reflects who we are. R&J Candles is more than a brand — it’s a passion project made with love and purpose.

We handcraft all our candles using 100% natural ingredients sourced from local suppliers in Croydon. For our jar candles, we use soy wax, while our molded designs are made with a blend of 5% beeswax and mostly soy wax. Every ingredient is chosen to be safe for your pets, eco-friendly, and long-lasting.

Sweet, fun, and irresistible — this collection is inspired by your favourite bakery treats. Each candle is handcrafted to look like a delicious dessert and comes in three charming presentations: Cakes, Medium-sized jar desserts, and Ice cream-inspired large desserts.
